POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Summary
Pets Can Stay is building a select team of committed sales representatives to continue its expansion into the United States. Liaising with members of the North American hospitality industry, PCS Senior Account Representatives are responsible for selling Pets Can Stay services and products to these potential clients, as well as identifying new sales and business development opportunities.

Industry Profile
In the United States, tourism and travel is a high-growth $1.3 trillion industry that is forecasted to double in size over the next decade. Well over 50,000 lodging operators reside in the United States alone. An increasing number of lodging establishments are responding to the growth of the “baby boomer” demographic and their increased trend of travelling with pets - as the children move out of the household, pets are moving in, and are being regarded as members of the family. Fourteen percent of all U.S. adults say they travelled with a pet on a trip of 50 miles or more, one-way, away from home in the past three years, and these statistics are on the rise. Pets Can Stay’s role within the industry is to provide a complete marketing and policy development solution to lodging operators who are attempting to target the pet market effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The primary role of a PCS Senior Account Representatives is to initiate sales leads by contacting prospects, as well as close, secure and support contracts. As such, your duties may include, but are not limited to:

1. Performing preliminary background research on prospective Pets Can Stay clients and relevant industry activity.

2. Opening and tracking sales and advertising leads. PCS does not employ sales territories, so Account Representatives are free to contact clients in any geographical area within North America.

3. Closing, securing and supporting client sales contracts.

4. Maintaining regular communication with clients throughout all stages of the sales and certification process.

Work Environment
Individuals must be able to work from home and have access to general office equipment, including computer, phone, fax machine, etc. Pets Can Stay provides full support for its Account Representatives via a comprehensive web-based management system, established set of marketing/financial documentation for all stages of the sales process, and regular contact from the General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Attitude
Highly motivated with a solid focus on personal financial success. Possess a positive, "can do" attitude.

Language Skills
Oral/Auditory Language: Ability to speak and listen effectively over the telephone and before clients. Good telephone voice and phone etiquette is essential. Ability to demonstrate effective presentation skills.

Written Language: Solid correspondence skills.

Computer Skills
Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, and Outlook.


COMPENSATION:
Competitive commission structure. Subsequent year renewals are also part of the compensation package.
