Los Gatos Lodge - Los Gatos, CA
California – sun, fun and a plethora of sights and attractions to
suit every
interest. The San Francisco Bay area in particular is a
popular destination for leisure and business travelers alike, with
its beautiful scenery and proximity to major business centers. But
nestled in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, mere minutes
from downtown San Jose yet seemingly a world away, sits a private

Set on ten sprawling acres, the Los Gatos Lodge grounds alone –

find plenty of green space and walking areas to exercise their
favorite pooch, as well as a putting green, bocce ball area, pool
and jacuzzi for their own pursuits. Within a short walking distance
from the lodge, travelers can meander through the lovely town of Los
Gatos, which also bears a clean, green landscape and an upscale
ambience. The town’s quaint atmosphere, numerous shops and old
Victorian buildings offer a pleasant respite from the concrete
jungles of some of its neighboring cities.
Inside the lodge itself, guests and their pets will always receive
the royal treatment. “We’re a family operation where
customer service is our top priority” explains Nancy Nerhan, with
the lodge. “Our lodge is well-known for our extremely friendly
and accommodating staff, and that’s a big reason behind our loyal,
repeat customer base.” Pet guests are welcomed with treats upon
arrival, with food, bowls and other pet supplies made available upon
request.
 Of
the lodge’s 128 guest rooms, 100 allow pets. Not only are the
pet-designated rooms non-smoking, but in terms of furnishings and
amenities, they are no different from any other room in the lodge.
“We believe in equal treatment of all of our guests, whether they
have a pet or not.” continues Nerhan. “Many other hotels in the area
are not nearly as accommodating, and a large number of them do not
allow pets at all. Our experience with pets has been great. We have had no problems with any pet guests to date. We
want guests to know that they can come to enjoy and relax, and know
that their pets are as welcome as they are.”
In line with their pet-welcoming attitude, the lodge has held
several dog show events on its grounds.
Furthermore, of the large number of weddings held at the property
each year, it’s not uncommon to see pets participating in the
ceremonies! “More than one dog has carried the wedding ring down the
aisle” adds Nerhan.
In terms of additional amenities and services, Los Gatos Lodge
continues to impress. While other hotels in the area may charge
upwards of $40/day for parking, Los Gatos offers ample free parking
capable of accommodating guests with large motorhomes who are
staying at the hotel. The onsite Wave Room Bar & Grill offers up
delectable cuisine, while corporate travellers can take advantage of
5 banquet rooms and 5000 sq. ft of meeting space, while being in the
heart of Silicon Valley and only minutes from San Jose National
Airport. For business or family travel, Los Gatos Lodge truly offers

Guests at Los Gatos Lodge can take in a number of ongoing events in
the area. Los Gatos hosts a weekly 'Jazz in the Plaz' fair, as well
as a famous farmer's market. Several nearby wineries offer
promotional tours and tastings, while the area is
home to many concert venues throughout the year. As for upcoming events, stay
tuned for the annual Garlic festival, 1 hr from Los Gatos in the hub
of the garlic farms, which celebrates everything garlic with food,
music and fun.
