PupArt was born from a number of loves – dogs, color and whimsical art! Artist Marion Morrison has chosen to blend many of her interests and training into her portrait business. With a varied background in veterinary jobs, a degree in psychology, extensive art training, studies in health and color, and how dogs can affect our energy and well-being – this artist’s dream job has come together! Marion comments, “Dogs are very important in our lives, and these paintings are meant to convey the same happy warm and fuzzies that our dogs bring to our lives.”
Marion, the ‘Head Dog’, likes to meet the dog(s) if possible, and consult with the owners about the colors they prefer. All original portraits are painted on gallery grade stretched canvas. Marion’s use of bold color makes these hand-painted acrylic originals beautiful contemporary works of art for pet owners to cherish.
Marion also produces Giclees (pronounced gee-clay), which are prints produced by large format ink printers on paper or canvas. They allow for an extremely accurate reproduction of the original painting. PupArt limited edition Giclee prints are available in several different sizes, printed in archival ink on stretched canvas. All images are signed by the artist.
Marion donates a percentage of her proceeds to animal welfare and children’s charities. She lives in Calgary with her husband and their Golden Retriever, Molly.
