ASPCA and Cops Office Work Together to Help Police Stop Dogfighting

The ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) has partnered with the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) to develop a resource packet that will support police and community efforts to combat dogfighting. This packet will provide law enforcement with the necessary tools and training resources to recognize dogfighting, evidence collection and processing, teaching techniques for handling victimized animals, establish partnerships with prosecutors for prosecution, and to build animal task forces within the communities they serve.
